こんにちは！

今年のGW,みなさんはどのように過ごされましたか？私は帰省して家族と久しぶりに楽しい時間を過ごしました。実家までは、フェリーに乗り、船からの眺めを楽しみながら食事をして、ゆっくり主人と話をすることができました。フェリーを降りて、さらに約１８０ｋｍのドライブをしてやっと故郷に到着しました。ちょっとした旅行気分を味わうことができました。

Hello everyone!

How did you spend your Golden Week? I visited my childhood hometown and had a wonderful time with my family. I even got to share a nice meal with my husband while enjoying a gorgeous ocean view. On the return trip home, after we rode a ferry, we still had an 180 kilometer drive. After this long drive, we finally arrived back home. We really had a great time on our vacation.

みなさんの故郷はどんなところでしょうか？

聖書には、私たちの本当の故郷は天にあり、地上ではただの旅人だと
書かれています。（第一ペテロ２：１１）

旅行をするときに、私たちは楽しい時もありますが、不便だとを感じたり、ハプニングに巻き込まれたり、様々なことが起ります。でも晴れの日も雨の日も旅行を続けて行かなければ、目的地に着くことはできません。

What is your own hometown like? The Bible says that our true home is in heaven, and that we are currently just travelers here on this earth (1 Peter 2:11)

Going on vacation and traveling to different places is fun, but when unexpected circumstances or trouble happens during the trip, things can get difficult. However, regardless of the troubles that we may run into, if we don’t continue traveling, then we will never be able to reach our final destination.

ライフチャーチは砂漠にあるオアシスのようなところです。
乾いた喉を泉の水で潤して、日陰で休む時、また歩き出す力が湧いてきます。毎日の生活の中でちょっと疲れを感じている方もライフチャーチでゆっくり時間を過ごしてみませんか？

こんにちは。ライフチャーチの久美子です。

今回でライフチャーチのブロガーとしてブログを書くのは最後になりますので、

私がライフチャーチに来て体験したことを少し書きたいと思います。

 数か月前、２歳の息子のために、近所で評判の仏教系の幼稚園を受けました。

仏教系というところを除いては、すべてが私の理想とする幼稚園だったからです。

その話をライフチャーチの友達に話した日、彼女の-中に「神は偶像礼拝を忌み嫌われる」という聖句が頭の中をかけめぐったそうです。

彼女からの電話を受けた時には、すでに願書を出してしまっていたのですが、結果は不合格でした。

そして、次の週に、他の幼稚園への入園が決まり、この４月から通っています。

今は、この幼稚園に来れて本当に良かったと思っています。

ライフチャーチには、多くの同世代の夫婦がいて、私達は他愛のない会話の時間を楽しみます。

しかし、それはただの社交的な場ではなく、神様が人々を通して働かれる場を提供してくださっているのだと感じます。

洗礼を受けて４年ですが、私は以前の自分より確実に成長してきていることを確信できます。

皆さんにもそのような素晴らしい教会に出会ってほしいです。

Hello. This is Kumiko From Life Church.

This is the last time that I will write a blog for Life Church. So today,

I would like to share a little a bit about my experience.

 A few months ago, I put in an application for a kindergarten for my two years son.

The kindergarten was perfect place for both my son and I, except it is run by Buddhists.

I had been talking about my son’s kindergarten to a few church members.

One day, one of my friends had a thought racee through her head. “God hates idolatry.”

She felt that she should stop me so she called me. But I had already submitted an application. Later, I got a rejection letter.

Next week, we applied to another kindergarten, and from this April, my son has been enjoying going there.

There are a lot of same generation families at Life Church, and we have good time chatting and hanging out.

However, Church is not just a social club; it’s a place that people connect and desire to work to fulfill God’s plan.

It’s been four years since I baptized, I am sure that I have been growing as a Christian.

I want you to find the best church for you .

前回の続きです。

明日のバイリンガルライブ礼拝にくると３つのプラス点があります。今日は２点目と３点目を上げます。

☆外国人のお友達ができる☆

インターナショナルカップルも結構たくさんいます。（そういうわたしも、夫はアメリカ人です）

そして、ライフチャーチには世代を超えて、多くの方がいらっしゃっています。

もちろん、日本人の方もたくさんいますので、お友達を作るにはとても良い場所だと思います。

そして3点目は

☆励まされる☆

これは、バイリンガルライブ礼拝とは直接関係ないかもしれませんが、ライフチャーチに来ると不思議と励まされます。

これは神様の大きな働きがライフチャーチの中にあるからです。礼拝の時間で神様に祈る時、コーヒータイムでまわりの人とコネクトするときに私はたくさんの元気をもらいます。みなさんにもぜひ体験してもらいたいです。

ライフチャーチは、どなたでも大歓迎するコミュニティ・チャーチ（教会）です。

This blog is a continuation from the “Bilingual Service 1″ blog.

There are 3 things that will benefit you if you come to the bilingual service tomorrow.

Today I would like to mention the 2nd & 3rd points.

2nd point is:

You can meet and make friends with people from different nationalities.

We have quite a lot of international couples in Life Church (I am actually one of them)

Of course we have a lot of Japanese people, too so I think it is a great place to make friends.

The final point is:

You will be encouraged

This has nothing to do with the bilingual service, but I would like to tell you. When you come to Life Church, you will be encouraged.

This is because God is working in Life Church. When we pray to God during the service, or when you connect with someone in Life Church, you will receive a lot of encouragement.

I really want you to experience that.

Life Church is a community church that welcomes everyone.

ライフキッズ・ミュージッククラプは一年間のプログラムを

終了しました。

当初、ほとんどの子供たちは、初心者でしたが、

今では新進のミュージシャンです。

Life Kids Music Club has finished up after a year long program.
Most kids were beginners a year ago,  and now they are budding musicians.

うちの娘は、ライフキッズミュージッククラブでピアノを習いました。

彼女に今まで習ってみた感想を聞いてみると、

「人の前でやるのは緊張したけど、ワーシップの曲が引けるようになってうれしい」と。

子供たちは、ミュージッククラブを通して、大変貴重な体験ができたと思います。

My daughter took piano lessons at Life Kids Music Club and I asked her how was the Music Club.

She said, ” Though I got nervous infront of people,  I’m so happy to play worship songs. ”

私たちが何かを始めると、それは将来への投資になります。

子供たちに投資すると、彼らの明るい未来が見えてくるでしょう。

そしてそれは私たち大人にとっても明るい未来です。

 If we start something, we invest in our future. If we inverst in Kids,

we will see brilliant futures for them as well as for us, too.

今週末は、いよいよバイリンガルライブ礼拝。　乞うご期待!

バイリンガル礼拝へ来ると３つのプラス点があります。今日はその一つを取り上げたいと思います。

☆英語力が磨ける☆

ウェルカムされるところから、ライブも、メッセージも、キッズプログラムも、全部英語＆日本語です。

ライブ礼拝はいっしょに歌詞を見て英語＆日本語で歌います。

英語がもっとうまくなりたいな～と思う方は、ぜひ２９日のバイリンガルサービスに来てください。

Hi everyone, this is Yukie from Life Church!

This coming Sunday, April 29th,  we are going to have a bilingual service at Life Church.

There are 3 things that you will benefit if you come to the bilingual service. I would like to mention one today.

That is:

“You can improve your English skill”

As soon as you enter Life Church, everything will be in both English & Japanese.  Worship live, message, and even the kids program will be bilingual.

For the worship time, we will sing the songs together in English and Japanese.

If you would like to practice your English, please come to our bilingual service this Sunday.
